The International Crisis Behavior (ICB) Online
We are very pleased to announce the release of ICB Version 5, covering all
international and foreign policy crises for the period 1918-2002. This
version includes data on 440 international crises (icb1v5) and 970 crisis
actors (icb2v5). There are now 32 protracted conflicts. The data are stored in
SPSS data files

The CIA University provides free access to a searchable
collection of over 400 articles and declassified documents from Studies in
Intelligence. This was produced by the Sherman Kent School for Intelligence
Analysis, in conjunction with the Center for the Study of Intelligence and
the Directorate of Operations covering intelligence analysis and operations
from the mid 1950s to the 1970s.

Islam Research Directory
This Web Site is run by the German Goethe Institute, the leading
German cultural policy organisation, and the German Orient Institute in
Hamburg. The main aim of this information portal and directory is to assist
"the establishment of links between researchers" in the fields of Islam in
general, in order to "boost transfers of knowledge as part of ongoing
dialogue, optimising co- operation between research institutions and
mediators of culture". Thus researchers can find a directory of fellow
researchers, with search options according to subject or geographical area,
a list of libraries and their general stock relating to Islam, a list of
institutions where research on Islam is taking place, a list of periodicals
and some research funding bodies in Germany.

The China Leadership Monitor
The China Leadership Monitor is published quarterly by the
Hoover Institution on War, Revolution, and Peace at Stanford University. It
publishes articles and news stories relating to current trends in China's
leadership politics and its foreign and domestic policies. It is possible to
access all issues since 2002 from the web site. Topics covered include;
US-China foreign policy and relations; the leadership and policy of the
Chinese Communist party and government and relations with Taiwan.

Prevention of Terrorism Bill: Preliminary Report
This provides access to the full text of the ninth report of the
Jopint Committee on Human Rights which was published as HL61 / HC 381
session 2004-5 in February 2005. It reviews the impact of the Prevention of
Terrorism Bill upon the civil liberties of terrorist suspects. Users should
note that the paper is in pdf format and therefore requires access to an
Adobe Acrobat Reader for use.

Right Web was established by the Interhemispheric Resource
Center (IRC) (now International Relations Center) to explore the
inter-relationship between right wing organisations, corporations,
businesses and American political power in the USA. The site contains news
stories, briefing papers and reports as well as profiles of influential
right wing conservative groups. It includes coverage of the link between
government officials of George W. Bush and right wing organisations and
sources of political funding.
